Self Explanatory Post

The following is the e-mail conversation between me and a IEEE author

1st Me:
Sir,
I am a student from India doing computer science engineering. I read through your paper on Anti-Phish plugin. The concept of DOM tree comparison is a brilliant idea, but as you mentioned in its limitations, it doesn't solve the problem of visual similarity i.e images that could be screen shots etc. But the new html feature "canvas" can aid in getting the pixel color values and position hence would be reliable to identify phishing site even if the page contains image tricks.
And i'd like to know more about your work on this anti phishing tool if you are free to share. Please do send me your DOMAntiphish plugin when you are free, so that i can practically see its working of the tool to study your tool.
Thank you
Vijay

Reply from Author:
Dear VIJAY,
if you are interested in extending the solution with this
new html feature we can study it with two other professor
that will support us in it.
Let me know if you are really technically interested (able)
in doing this work and to write down a paper.
Regards

My reply to mail:
Sir,
It is very kind of you to invite us to work with you its really a honor, Actually we are currently working on a big project targeting google in the field of A.I, also we are working on visual similarity based phishing detection which consists of CANVAS function to store the information about images(a partial representation of color pattern) in a browser client side database using SQLite. Our work is 10% completed and its in the beginning stage and while investigating on this we found your paper, it was very much informative. So thought that it would be great if we combine the DOM tree comparison technique with the canvas image comparison technique so that it would be the next version of work that almost satisfy both layout and visual detection. Thats why i contacted you and other 2 professors to know more detail on the project. We are 2 members ready to work combined with you. Please do let us know the next step and your plan
Thank you
Vijay

Then reply came from author with existing system attached with his e-mail:

Dear VIJAY,
the source code is attached.

Good work ;-)

Culturals in My college day 1 ( SSN )

I was excited about our college culturals not because of college patriotism but because of all the free time we would get and also thats the time where you can invite your close school friends to the college. And this time not many of my friend turned up. They all said the same reason, "Project" and they are going to "Project classes"..., WTF. But it is my final year and hence i thought this time im gonna be with my class boys and enjoy to the extreme. Well the first day i went to hostel in the morning and waited till my class Chaps get ready, and then we all started as a group reached Main Audi,.. Guess who is the guest?, it was Aarya (Actor) who came for inauguration function. But the crowd was too much, there were people from so many different colleges and we guys couldn't even get a proper place to stand. Me and my friend Ramani managed to get a cool place near the stage, and were sitting on the foot steps of the stage. This time i didn't do any music work for instincts so i was watching all the other videos and thinking well i could have done a better music :) classic rite?., yeah there were dance and other stuffs going on.
Then after inauguration, we first went to gaming for managing the participant and were helping our guys who were organizing them. But i wanna attend the "Classic solo" which is always cool., so i left the place and went to mini auditorium with my friend Ramani. Well first two participants really rocked, i mean i went for that even bcos i know that even is so peaceful where you can sit for a while and dissolve your soul in Karnatic music. Well i wasn't disappointed, they were singing the Kayani and other different svaram, and songs. Then went to gaming again and it was almost evening. So me and my class gang decided to go for the Dj nite.
And here is where the real fun begins, Well i really have a western fever like many people. And particularly the thinks i like about the western culture is their coolest accent and the different music genre they have. And in that Dj nite i was totally excited, with all the songs being played and friends near dancing, it brought the real Vj to the party. Well to be frank i don't know to dance, i just do dance only at Saturday nights locking my room with some rock song played and that too when my dad is not at home. And my dance would be crazy,. since my friends were forcing to move my butt, and watching them i became still excited and was doing some crazy steps in that Dj nite. I went totally saturated, jumping, swinging, singing (well my favorite Akon tracks were played there) and totally was dancing my ass off, and since this is my final year i wanted to have the full fun so i was doing some crazy moves. But the Dj was playing worst, usually Dj would scratch discs, thats why we call him Disc Jockey, but that Dj brought Scratched disc i guess, because the songs were discontinuous and were stopping in middle abrupt. Our class Cillu gang with Asif, Harish, Catty, were there, and my friend Ramani, his lil bro, Pagal were all dancing to the fullest and i was very tiered and was dancing like a drunk.., well who cares about it when you have your friends near you and you are at center of attraction. lol,. i never knew i would do that. But everyone has a different person inside and he comes out at occasions. After dancing so unconscious, i couldn't anymore, was so much exhausted and it was the end. And i left the college in my college bus, and my mind was so peaceful after reaching the extreme.

Paper Plane Lyrics Slumdog Millionaire

Movie: Slumdog Millionaire
Music Director : A.R Rahman
Singer : M.I.A

[x2]
I fly like paper, get high like planes
If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name
If you come around here, I make 'em all day
I get one down in a second if you wait

[x2]
Sometimes I think sitting on trains
Every stop I get to I'm clocking that game
Everyone's a winner now we're making that fame
Bonafide hustler making my name

[x4]
All I wanna do is (BANG BANG BANG BANG!)
And (KKKAAAA CHING!)
And take your money

[x2]
Pirate skulls and bones
Sticks and stones and weed and bongs
Running when we hit 'em
Lethal poison through their system

[x2]
No one on the corner has swagger like us
Hit me on my Burner prepaid wireless
We pack and deliver like UPS trucks
Already going hell just pumping that gas

[x4]
All I wanna do is (BANG BANG BANG BANG!)
And (KKKAAAA CHING!)
And take your money

M.I.A.
Third world democracy
Yeah, I got more records than the K.G.B.
So, uh, no funny business

Some some some I some I murder
Some I some I let go
Some some some I some I murder
Some I some I let go

Vj Learning to Rock "Hoping for the best"

After a long time here comes a post, a song actually. This song had been written and composed, even sung by me. I did this work in my last semester holiday, tried a rock song. Well i don't claim this to be a great work or superb song, but its my work and just posted in my blog for comments from my friends. So please don't post any anonymous negative comment about this. And i would prefer you to use Stereo headphones to listen to this song. Actually i ran out of lyrics for this song too,. so this is also partially completed work of mine :) Also the music turned out to be Rock genre , and this is a soul lyrics that came out of desperation.

Lyrics :

Sitting by the Window
Watching Sun Set in the Evening
Desperate to find something new....

Fed up with the things
I've been already doing
Searching to find something more...

Days come and goes with the sorrows...
I'm still alone and its hollow...

Hoping for the best ... Hoping for the best ...
Hoping for a better tomorrow......

I’ve become nocturnal in the past week

It was last Sunday I came to know through news channels that Colleges in Tamil Nadu are going to be closed till further notification. And it was quit happy news, but the only sadness was that the order was issued on Sunday, and next tow days i.e Monday and Tuesday are already project holidays for me, also I never expected that the government will keep the college closed more than 2 days. So hearing this news, I really spent the whole Sunday sleeping in my room, morning after finishing my breakfast at 10.30AM, I was listening to music for a about an hour and went to sleep, and when I woke up it was almost 3pm then I had my lunch and went back to bed again and later woke up only at 6pm. Now after all these sleep in the day time how could I get sleep in night. So I took my project work and started to code, yeah this time I really tried coding.
My work was on Phishing detection, and I was on developing a plugin to mozilla firefox browser. And the code to develop Firefox plugin involved XUL which is part of XML. I tried hard and hard to make it but at last got bored by the work. It was head spinning work, so to take care of my head I listened to music. When I looked at the time it was 4AM in the next day morning. After all work in the night again I fall a sleep and only woke up at 9AM did the morning works, eat and went back to sleep, and this had become a routine of the whole week. Now I am not getting sleep at night and I couldn’t stay awake in mornings :) and now back again colleges are opened, now i should continue my past routine of sleeping in the class

I am always the bad egg in my family

In my home my dad is the lead character who overtakes all the others in all his behaviour. And he always holds tight to his point and would never listen to my point of view, always wants me to do what he wants and what is right according to him, from childhood till teenage i was just treated like this , and still i am treated like a 5yr old boy in my  home. Mom is not a problem, its always dad who imposes so many of his thoughts on me. But i never could really make it, and i am not perfect in his point of view. My college was his decision, my B.E course was his decision, but i always wanted to do Sound Engineering which once i managed to tell him while i was doing my 12th std, but then he fired on me for having such a idea. And this song here from my favorite band "Simple Plan" called "Perfect" is which exactly resembled my feelings., and i was very much surprised to listen to this song in the beginning as it was so apt to me, and i thought to myself that maybe all the Dad is this earth has the same mentality :(
Listen to the lyrics and you will know what i mean,.

I hate Cricket because....

It was 6th standard, and till then i too was playing one-pitch cricket with friends and love to play cricket. But after 6th standard, naama yen through catch velada koodathunu oru kelvi manasula (why shouldn't i play the actual cricket ? was the question striking in my mind). But the small guys lived near my place told me, "we are grown up now, so its time for us to play in ground, than simply playing 1-pitch catch game within compound of our house". In those time while i was small i used to see big boys playing in play grounds, how can i play there? i was thinking. So all the small boys including me formed a team and went to ground. (Manasula Sachina nanachikittu groundla kaala yeduthu vechi velada aaramichom, summa avloo jollyaa irundhuthu). Everyone one in my team was very happy and joyfuly playing there and since it was my annual leave of 6th standard, playing in ground became a regular habit of that week. But next week when i started to ground, i heard a voice saying ("Dai yenga kelambitta ?") where are you going?, it was my dad asking me. Since that day was Sunday, he was at home. (Naanum perumayaa, groundukku poyee cricket vellada porennu sonnen) I told him that i was going to play cricket.
My dad advised me not to play in ground and the reason he gave me was i could become a bad boy if i join with slum guys. He asked me to play in school or play in computer. But my school ground was so small and P.T.E period they will only teach exercise and drill. Annilaa irundhu appaaku theriyama groundukku poi velada aramichen. But the ground is on the way to my home and when my dad comes from office, he has to cross the ground and come. So when i see my dad's bike far away, i used to run to my home like a criminal escaping from police. Ithula koduma yennanaa, i used to run home from ground and immediatly change a new dress, cause thinking that he would have seen my dress color so to escape from his doubt i used to do this. But still my dad cought me 3 or 4 times, had got whippings too. Appidi oru dad's imsainalaye naan groundukku pogaratha vittuten also i left playing cricket. This incident slowly created a hatred towards cricket. And now i don't even know anything about the players of any country. I don't even know about Indian team players, and match schedules. This is why i dont follow cricket and cricket news :(

War between India and Pakistan is unnecessary

From the day India got its Independence from the British rule the fight for separation of the country had been a serious problem. Although a partition was made this problem still continues till now which is a shame on both the side also a shame for the world countries. Already a few years back there was a war to conquer the border places of India which lead to loss of so many lives. Now the terrorist attack on Mumbai, is again serves as a token for making war. Several terrorist communities of Pakistan had sent in many trained terrorist to parts of India, some of them are caught and many still hiding among people waiting for the right time to strike. This is the case today and as far as people are concerned in both the countries, both set of people likes peace and unity, but some social evil forces spreads wrong thoughts in people's mind making them a puppet in the hands of evil forces. But is a war necessary to solve this problem? absolutly not, the co-operation in the only need to bring a solution without war. India had been really working hard to make peace, but Pakistan government which supports Terrorist organizations against India and this had taken away lives of several Indians. If this gonna countinue in the future no one can stop the war between India and Pakistan. Both the countries are equally strong because India and Pakistan is the seperated parts of a single country and fight between both will lead to heavy loss on both sides without any permanent solution to the problem. Only peace talks and co-operation could really help out in this problem.

A.R Rahman's Slumdog Millionaire is a master piece

Slumdog Millionaire is a English movie that was shot in India by a Hollywood director Danny Boyle but this post is not about the movie, but about the sound tracks of the movie. A.R.Rahman had done the music part, starting from the title song "O saya" till the climax song "Jai Ho" every bit of music in the movie is really a master piece. "O saya" leads the track list which is loved by many because of Rahman's amazing voice and extra-ordinary effects, mix and the whole composition. The next song that rocks more, almost equal to "O saya" song is the "Paper Plane" song. "Paper Plan" is pleasant song, and gives a happy and peaceful feeling while hearing the song. The lyrics of the "Paper plan" song also rocks along with its music, and the Gun effect added to this song is amazingly wonderful. The next rocking song in this list is "Gangsta Blues", the song is of Hip hop/Alternative Genre which is extremely stylish and so peppy. This song proves Rahman's world class music composing talent. The other track that has to be mentioned is "Latika's Theme", this theme music with a hum is actually soul music that rules the heart. Totally the Slumdog millionaire tracks is a master piece in the rack of world music.
